Recently, 31 rescued sea turtles were released back into the Atlantic Ocean at Fort Fisher, NC.
The turtles spent the last four months being treated for pneumonia and dehydration after they were “cold-stunned” by winter waters. Cold-stunning is just what it sounds like. The turtles become lethargic because of cold waters and if they’re not saved, they could die.
