A top Democrat in North Carolina has sharp words for the latest round of Republican gerrymandering in the state.
The new Congressional election map drawn by NC Republicans will kick an incumbent Democrat out of his district to help President Trump and Congressional Republicans maintain control of the US House in 2026.
At a large protest outside the General Assembly on Tuesday, NC Sen. Sydney Batch, the Democratic minority leader in the state Senate, said that intentionally diluting the Democratic vote was the only way NC Republicans could stay in power.
