VIDEO: Mo Green says a strong public education system shouldn’t be a partisan issue

Mo Green

We talked to the Democratic candidate for state superintendent of public education, Mo Green, about partisanship, and why supporting a strong K-12 system shouldn’t be a Democrat or Republican issue.

Maurice “Mo” Green @mogreenfornc, the Democratic candidate running for Superintendent of Public Instruction in North Carolina, was asked about his strategy for appealing to suburban voters who typically vote Republican.

Green emphasized that his campaign goes beyond party lines by focusing on the universal importance of a strong public education system.

He said regardless of personal choices, such as where parents send their children to school, a robust public education system benefits everyone in the community.

We talked to Green at the virtual kickoff event for Students for Mo, an organization of students supporting Green.
